FUN HIKES / OUTINGS

The Eastern Cascades are famous for the epic hiking (see below). However, there are lots of other fun things to do around the area as well.

Hikes:

  • Snoqualmie Falls (1 hour away from residences, between airport and residences) - Easy, 1.4 miles RT (short walk to see falls). Grab a drink/bite at nearby Salish Lodge.
  • Peoh Point (45 mins from residences) - Easy, 3.4 miles RT. More relaxed hike closer to wedding location.
  • Mount Catherine (50 mins from residences) - Moderate, 3 miles RT. Short and steep with stunning views of Mount Rainier.
  • Rattlesnake Ridge (50 mins from residences, between airport and residences) - Moderate, 4 miles RT. A Seattle classic!
  • Hex Mountain (20 mins from residences) - Difficult, 7.5 miles RT. A steep but rewarding Cascades hike.
  • Snow Lake (35 mins from residences, between airport and residences) - Difficult, 7 miles RT. Beautiful views showcasing the Alpine Lake Wilderness region. Pictured above!
  • Mailbox Peak Old Trail (50 mins from residences, between airport and residences) - Serious challenge, 5.4 miles RT, 3800 ft elevation gain. For double the miles and less pitch, use the New Trail. Bride and Groom's favorite hike!
